100 reasons for yoga
A few months ago, someone asked me to write down 30 things yoga has done for me. I started a list with the intention of adding to it as new things came up. My goal is 100, I’m at 51.
One hundred ways yoga has transformed my life. Honestly, it’s easy making the list. In fact, it’s easy thinking about the way yoga has transformed my friends/clients’ lives over the past year of teaching as well.
Yoga isn’t a one-size fits all, but there is a size for everyone. A benefit for everyone. A success story, a transformative moment for all.
Some will find mental or emotional results while others will experience the physical transformations. And still others will encounter a spiritual aspect to the practice. I’ve seen them all. And they are all valid.
I want to take the next few weeks to share the specific stories behind the 51 ways yoga has benefitted me. I’m sure I’ll add to the list in the meantime.
To kick us off, here’s my list. Unedited and raw from when I was originally asked the question.
