I set a goal to practice yoga everyday for 90 days and this is what has happened so far…

I forgot some days.

And I didn’t die. In fact, I learned a ton on these days, because instead of shaming myself, I let it teach me.

Too often I see people miss out on the lessons that come from failure because shame is taking up all their energy.

When you know how to fail with self love, you can actually learn and grow from it.

Perceiving something as failure or not is an entirely different conversation that I’ll be sharing about soon!

I did it half asleep some days.

It was no less effective just because I was dozing off.

Most people over estimate the importance of intention and underestimate the importance of action.

Read that again.

I did it so well some days, you’d think I did this for a living.

6 months pregnant and damn, it’s like 8 years of consistency makes a difference or something...

“I want a consistent practice” is one of the most common things I hear students say.

But consistency isn’t built on a perfect schedule, during vacation, or only the days when you show up.

Consistency is built when you forget and decide to show up the next day anyways and don’t let any shame keep you from getting there.

Consistency is built when you are injured and “can’t” but find modifications and do it anyways.. but also know when to rest.

Consistency is formed when it’s all moving and grooving and you don’t get judgemental towards those who aren’t where you are.

Two more things to consider…

WHY do you want a consistent yoga practice?

and

WHAT does a consistent yoga practice mean to you?

Once you are clear on these, it will be clear what steps you need to take to make your practice consistent.

Cheers to the journey!

I’m releasing something on November 1st that’s going to take the guess work out of creating consistency.
