Make Time Work For You
Time can be a fickle beast or your best friend.
With time, perspective is everything.
This week I will complete 5 of the 6 main goals I set for myself in 2022.
The last goal will take a miracle to reach. I’m not even bummed, this year has been one of the most incredible years of my life.
But it did get me thinking.. why do I even need to achieve this thing in one year? Is it any less special or exciting if it takes two years? Or 10 years? Am I doing it for speed or am I doing it for joy? Neither is better or worse, but for me.. it’s joy.
My goals are determined as an opportunity to grow, not as a punishment or a measuring stick.
And if time is a lot less important than we often give it credit for, perhaps our perspective on time can change the relationship with the entire journey to our goals. Perhaps we can make time work for us as a measurement, instead of against us.
Here is a meditation for when you need a new perspective on time. And because I just can’t help myself, there is also a short movement practice for your back.
