I still get stressed, y’all.
The only certainty I carry is that nothing is certain.
This week was HARD.
I was STRESSED.
I found myself on the OCD hamster wheel a few times.
I spent a few days spiraling down the oh so familiar loop. The one that promises comfort and certainty. And ALWAYS fails to deliver.
The temptation to feel like a fraud was strong. Imposter syndrome was knocking on my door. Shame was itching to take over.
I am a stress relief coach for heaven sake. I literally teach people how to use yoga to strengthen their mental health.
But instead I waited. I practiced what I know works.
And you know what… it worked. Again. Just like it always does.
None of us are immune to the stress of daily life, and I will never claim that I am. But now I know what to do in the face of chaos. Some days I choose not to work the process. Some days I believe the lie that it’s easier to just be in the chaos. But now when I do choose those days, there is no shame.
You see the shame keeps us there in the spiral in the loop stuck in the stress. It’s through unconditional self acceptance that we are able to find and experience abundant life and abundant self-love.
I do not have all the answers. I do not have it all figured out. I can crash and burn with the best of them.
But now I know how to get back up and not let it derail days, months, and years of my life.
The process I teach works because it trains you to come back to yourself over and over and over again and to love and accept yourself unconditionally.
THIS IS THE SECRET.
